Even if DJ AM "pre-fabbed" his sets, doesn't that mean he had to experiment with a bunch of tracks in the first place? What you're missing is his creativity. He basically had a bunch of tracks, figured out which work with which, and threw in some cuts and sick blends.
Don't be afraid of Serato either. It's a great tool that we can use to our advantage. It gives us the freedom to more creative things with music.

Like kulasstar said that was the intro for Around the World by Daft Punk. AM was probably their biggest fan. Just search DJ am + daft punk and see what you get.
Also.... its a Triangle not a Diamond and AM probably was stoked that she noticed it so quickly.
