@lewis72 HAHAHA funny that "you can't rename a folder when something in said folder is open" is basically the only thing you can use against Windows. That says something.
Do I really need to sit here and list for you the limitations of Mac? You know, limitations that matter? Because in my 10+ years of using Windows, I never knew you couldn't rename a folder while something in the folder is open, hence, it's really not a big deal. At all. Windows forever.
We use Windows Vista at work and it's SO crap, it's painful. Want to rename a folder? You can't until you've found everything that's open in it or refers to it. On a Mac or in Unix, you just change it. Same with delete. You can't delete a file if it's open. You get asked every 2 minutesif you're sure you want to do something. Unix lets you do anything and asks no questions.
@Jarhead1407
Do what you like but if you hadn't noticed the ername/delete constraints you clearly don't really use it, just maybe mess around on one.
Considering you can boot a Mac up as a PC running Windows whatever, then it's not "MAC Vs PC" it's "Mac + PC Vs PC".
A MAC runs on UNIX, which is inherintly far more robust but of course you knew that.

@Jarhead1407
Don't know what a "dumbass" is; I'm English.
You can't. You get "Cannot rename xyz: It is being used by another person or program."
So you have to find whatever is open in that folder and close it. It's so shite, it really is.
There's no "tail -f" equivalent either, or "more". Vim makes Windows just about useable but that's a Unix program.

@lewis72 you're a dumbass. You can rename a folder at any point you want, so you will no longer be taken seriously.

Windows 7 Vs Windows Vista?
Both shit, don't bother.
