So I decided to go to the highest point in my town just so I could have the best experience of Hurricane Katia! I also show you around the village I live in and flirt with horses.

It's not a hurricane!!! It's a former hurricane which has developed into the sort of storm you see in the winter!

@TehOwchies It's the tail end of a hurricane, So it may not be a powerful one but still is technically a hurricane!

@HoldenElder Sorry, but I have to disagree there ;) Hurricanes start out in the tropics and need warm air to develop. When they move over from America to the UK they lose their power as the north Atlantic lacks that warm air.

Katia was classed as a post-tropical storm when it hit us, if it was a true hurricane then sustained windspeeds would have been at least a constant 75mph.

I guess none of this was helped by the sensationalisation by the newspapers though.

@TehOwchies We had winds of up to 130mph in Ireland... But I agree about the press, but what isn't sensationalized these days :( and like I said in the video, it was a boiling day and has been really warm and stuffy all week. It was a UK version of a hurricane.
