@AGA151994 i have heard mixed reviews about how effective the waterproofing is. some people say they sat in rain for 4 hours and were dry, others have said their shoulders got wet after about 20 minutes. could you please tell me what your experience has been? thanks.

I found one of these things. I had a tough choice between this and a issue high-loft fleece. Two different beasts but I decided on the high-loft (on sale and i had a coupon for it so it was practically free) for my parka.

My only problem with it is that there is a lot of tacticool in it. The two things I didn't like about it is the rubber cuffs doesn't stay attached very well. Finally, the zippers had really tiny teeth which is usually the deal-breaker if I'm on the fence about a product.
