  • Actually I know that's not true because look at any comic review site and there's always the ethe r"I don't like MCR but" or "I've never listend to MCR" people who ether hate his music or have no exposure to it love the comic. Because it's just good. I didn't find anything that didn't make sence.

  • Yeah, some people haven't but most of the people got it just because they like MCR. I was one of them. I just had higher expectations. It's not so much the stuff doesn;t make sense but its not explained. Like their mom in the 2nd issue (at least I think its their mom). She was at their dad's funeral and she was nothing but framework with a head. They don't say why or how the monkey talks. Or what happened to him in "the lab." Or what happened to Space Boy that made them give him gorilla limbs.

  • I think the first series yes. But it's generally regarded by comic fans as one of the best comic sout there currently.

that's the poin tthe world this comic take splace in is just a bit off.

  • its really good. This is what got me into american comics. I am a Manga girl and I do admit, I was curious because I am an MCR fan. However, I would have said if it sucked or not honestly. The first one was a little like "Okay, what about this? that? " There were many questions left unanswered, but I know they will fill those in in later issues. Either way. its well written, well drawn and a all around joy to read. Can't wait until I get ahold of volume 3

  • i think a LOT was left unexplained in the first book, which can be explained later on in future volumes, it can be carried a long way, exploring their days as children, or focusing on the individual heroes more

  • im up to issue 4 of Apocalypse suite

  • "It's his art, but in a mike mignola way..." ,or ,alternatively, it could just be that his aesthetic coincidentally enjoys a remarkable similarity to Mignola's visual craft. Mignola's art hails form an expressionistic, almost, at times, picasso-esque mindset: it's boiling down imagery to isolate its most basic iconography. That's a mindset that several artist have indulged in.

  • i been wanting to read this forever

  • Have you ever read Gerards first comic called On Raven's Wings or something like that? Its pretty great.

  • I recieved apocalypse suite for Christmas and I've been drifting in and out of it but so far i find it quite a good book and I haven't read a book by Mike but I might by one from him to see the comparison between the artwork and so far I find the story good but when i recieve my microphone I'll review this and then after I've read Dallas I'll review that.
