We were not exactly sure that it was a sand tiger. We looked up pictures online and compared it to this video to see what it looked like most. We had it down to a Sand Tiger, Nurseshark, and I think a bullshark... so you may very well be right.

Did you release the shark afterwards?
I couldn't exactly see if you cut the line at the end or not etc.....
I ask because ,to me, letting them go or not makes all the difference between traditional sport and a barbaric crime.
On my oppinion if someone catch a fish he should either release it or take it for dinner.
But thousands of sharks are killed every year for fun an a photo and afterwards they get dumped. And this is a crime to me and thats why I ask.

we cut the line. we did not have the means to bring it in the boat and we don't kill fish for fun/
