American Ninja 4: The Annihilation (1990) Movie Review aka Epic Rant

Thanks to the footage from Mike aka OCPcommunications, an epic rant on a head scratcher of a movie called American Ninja 4, starring Michael Dudikoff and David Bradley.

CIA agent Sean Davidson and his sidekick Carl are sent into the stronghold of sadistic British ex-soldier Mulgrew to rescue some Delta Force commandoes who have been captured and tortured. When Sean, Carl and pretty doctor Sarah run into some problems, Peace Corps vet Joe Armstrong is lured out of retirement to stop Mulgrew's plan to explode a nuclear device in New York City.

I remember being pretty excited when this first came on vhs back in 1990 as a 9 year old. Boy was I disappointed after watching the film. Armstrong doesn't even come into the movie until halfway and even then Dudikoff looks REALLY tired and out of shape. The whole MAD MAX looking people was dumb. Bradley uncharismatic and the whole affair just lackluster and no good action.

Would love to see a review of the Dudikoff/Steve James actioner Avenging Force! A great film, but the bad guys are TOO evil... no matter what retribution they recieved, it was never gonna be enough.

Steve James probably read the script! Anyway, I have no beef with this film, in fact, I think the film is best viewed as a comedy... an unintentional one!
