Something I have noticed in this clip: at the end of the commercial break at 1:41, the end of the Monster Munch advert cuts to the final frame of a Butcher's Dog Food advert. Was the Butcher's advert played from another ITV region (London?) and that Granada had opted in a second too early? Never seen that sort of thing happen before.

@GeorgeASFTHM It's my editing, the clip originates from a DVD I copied from a VHS tape several years ago, I had alot to copy and I think I wanted to save time more than anything. Although the technical hitch was certainly a fault at Granada's end when linking to Central/network...

Was this the first time that Sooty had been on since Thames lost their franchise and the Sooty Show finished?

Yep you've got it bang on there, not sure when the last Thames episode aired in 1992, but this as I said is from the first Monday in September 1993.

Nope it was September 1993, I remember recording this at the time. Don't forget during that time Production switched from Thames to Granada.
