  • (cont.) Then there is my shortened and scarred vagina (I know this from experience and feeling). Even if I had kept my ovaries, my anatomy is clearly different down there and the loss of my cervix and uterus has had a profound effect on my ability to have an orgasm, which used to be very strong and now is weak if I can even have one (the latter effect of course being from lack of hormones). I seriously doubt I am an exceptional case either. No doctor has ever asked me how my sex life is now.

  • This guy just has no clue. As someone who had a hysterectomy and bilateral oopherectomy three years ago, let me point out that just adding a little testosterone (whether bioidentical, transdermal or whatever) isnt as easy as he makes it out to be. Hormone balancing is incredibly difficult without functioning ovaries that make the peaks and transitions seamless. I have yet to find a form of testosterone that doesnt make me sicker than a dog even in tiny amounts and compounded.
