recorded with modified Boss DS1 Distortion Pedals.
-the Guitar on the Left was recorded with a "Modern Distortion" upgrade to the circuit, included using a 3mm LED in the clipping section, reshaping the Tone Stack & adding more bass
-the guitar on the right was recorded with a Marshall JCM mod to the DS1 pedal that, included diode replacement with symmetrical clipping, reshaped tone stack & a more balanced Bass response.
I did an online search and found your mod. I used the following parts:C2,C5,C8,C9-1uf;C3-.033uf;R9-100 ohms;R13-1K;R17-15K;D4-1N4148x2 diodes in series, and for D5,I cound not find a square red led,so I had on hand a clear red 5mm straw hat led that has a forward voltage of 1.8-2.0 volts, which is very close to the forward voltage specs for the red square led that you used. It kicks ass big time!!!! Maybe I can leave that red straw hat led in place!!!! Thanks, and great demo!!!!

Which DS-1 mod is the one you used? Was the mod you used the Premier Guitar Modern Distortion mod,or a variation of that mod.. Which value caps did you use forC2;C3;C5;C8;C9;and C11? Did you use an LED for D4? I would like to do this mod on mine.Thanks.

@Nixter252 = its a modded DS-1 bro... a stock DS-1 will never sound like it... its an easy mod if you know how to use a soldering iron.
