Some clips from a summer 2010 journey into Eastern Finland, as seen from the front of a Dm12 railcar. This is as near to a driver's eye video as is available without actually getting into the cab. Unfortunately it wasn't practical to evade the large sticker in the cab door. :-(
The track quality changes noticeably part way through, from continuous-welded rail to jointed-and-fishplated rail at two different spacings. This has some effect on the steadiness of my camerawork.
The train was made up of two Dm12 cars. The rear one apparently had a transmission fault, so only three out of the four engines are producing power.
And there's a nice little surprise at the end, from the return journey. :-)
