  • brilliant actor, very good looking, dashing :) benedict cumberbatch summed up perfectly :P

  • RDJ and Benedict Cumberbatch have played these roles in entirely different ways and, so, I think that comparing them is just madness and a little pointless. They're certainly not the first actors to portray them either so, there are also other actors who've donned the deer stalker hat so to speak. I prefer Benedict Cumberbatch and Basil Rathbone. They have both so brilliantly embodied Sherlock Holmes for me that they're really kind of what I pictured when I read the novels.

  • In my opinion all of the BBC shows so far are superior to the majority of movies released of any genre.I can't wait until season 3.

  • @sternbergzookie ofcourse! The coat exceed everything! <3 ^^

  • I think I would genuinely marry a guy like Benedict's Sherlock. Even his arsey-ness and arrogance just seems so alluring...

  • I love how they adapted the story to a modern setting, and did it so skillfully, without destroying any of the essential traits of the original work. Also love how they spiced up the characters, especially Sherlock ;)

  • Sherlock Holmes is my life! I might have to keel over and die if a single episode was even cancled.

  • Mark Gatiss whit a beard is fantastic...and so funny

  • Updating Sherlock Holmes to "modern times" is nothing new. Most of the Basil Rathbone Holmes movies were set in the England of the 1940's in order to address issues pertinent to that time period.

  • @jacksparrowiscute Forget the hair; concentrate on the COAT oh my God the coat.

  • [CONTINUED]

I know this because he was part of a dream I had last night and there was definitely more to him than sex. I just can't recall what that more was because the dream also had Time Lords (see: Doctor Who). I dream about Time Lords now. Time Lords are cool.

  • @ImANerdYoureAnAss No, no, that's not what I was looking for--Martin's being made of kittens is a metaphor; Benedict's being made of sex is just an obvious fact. I was looking for a metaphor but could not think of a nice imaginative one because all that could come to mind was: "Sex. Sex. Sex." There's got to be more to him than that.
