@RaiderSix I put the visible knots to the back of the top and to my right. I being lefthanded would deal with them less there. The boards in the front of the top, they were clear of any. Hope this helps. I have a short video on the top on my channel.

@gerbschmitt he's just having a good time at this point.

@PlatypusxOuroboros Yes, I believe they would work just fine on your planes. It's just held on by strong magnets.

@crashgorilla The plane is a Lie Neilsen No 8 and the fence is a Veritas jointer fence from Lee Valley.

Just out of curiousity sake is there Northern Yellow Pine?
Metamorphysical 3 weeks ago
@Metamorphysical Good question. I just did a search and about the only thing I saw were some returns on "reclaimed northern yellow pine flooring". The pictures I saw of the planks look just like my Southern Yellow Pine. Maybe it's just a marketing thing.

I used SYP for my benchtop and just cut 2x10's into thirds to make it thick. Check out my channel for a closer look if you like.

@wdworking That looks like a nice solid top. Did you have any knots to deal with? I've got a few small knots that I'm going to have to do something with. Maybe chop them out and glue in a patch of good wood or something.

You look like you enjoyed taking those long shavings... LN? Nice planes are they not?

@woodlist Yes, very nice tools! They cost dearly, but they are near to perfect as you can ask a tool to be. And with no fiddling right out of the box. I was getting a kick out of the nice full length/width shavings.
