@andyt2k Oh no.. It's not about studies and what not.. Whatever that helps, is the therapy that works.. I misread your comment and thought you meant the Chiro practiced the acupuncture! My bad :P
-
@l4blu3gir1 Oh she doesn't go any more, she's been a few times and said it did help a bit but wasn't really worth it for the time and cost, now the chiropractor on the other hand, say what you want about them and quote any studies you like, but that does make a difference and is well worth it

@andyt2k Get her to a proper practitioner.. Chinese medicine practised by someone who has zero training in the basic principles of Chinese medicine, which acupuncture is part of, is pretty much going to someone doing something they dont' understand. The whole concept revolves around Qi - broadly speaking is 'life force' - which would include what you would call 'electrical impulses', 'energy' and general function of the body. What P&T covered was only covered a bastardisation of acupuncture.

WOW she is sooooooooooo fine! =|... and smart... and fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine ;-)

Acupuncture can have some possitive effects but it has nothing to do with Chi or Qi or drawing out toxins, it has a mild effect on the electrical impulses going through the body. My mum has been a few times and said it helped a bit but wasn't really worth the money, the chiropractor really earns their keep and she can feel the difference for about a week afterwoods

wow, plungers, lol

@ThieleM yep. An irregular heart beat is the sign that the heart is about to fail.
-
@AnOddPerson Even more dangerous is these people are playing with people's lives. I think people who do this should be put in jail.

Bullshit pseudo-health practitioners really piss me off. Not just because they're idiots who made money off of gullible people, but because they give the whole natural therapies (note that I said natural, not alternative or new age) industry a bad name. As a masseuse, I get a lot of people thinking I'm some hippie quack. People who do crazy things and say it's a natural therapy, or even people who do sane things and explain them with new-age garbage, it negatively affects my industry.
