Sorry guys but I won't be posting any more on the You Tube firearns vids.GOGGLE gas bought You Tube and stinks everything up on my machine because I refuse to use them for my home page or anything. Regardless of what they say Google keeps a file on everybody in the USA. They lie through their teeth in court and say they don't keep dirt files, but they do.They keep any records they have forever. They own 8 city blocks of servers and keep over 700 million files on people. It is all for sale too.

Nice rig! Short of Binos and a quality spotting scope you have everything needed to take a precision rifle course. That rifle will do it's half if you do yours! Congrats. It's a very well thought out platform.
nice video man. I have some questions. What does this rifle like best as far as ammo? grain wise and brand. did you buy it with the muzzle brake? if not how difficult was it or expensive to have one put on? I put 70 rounds downrange the other day and my shoulder is still feeling it. in your video it looks like you're firing a 223. looks like the brake is working to me. let me know what you think.

@Lynxrab Best ammo was the Federal Gold Medal Match 168 gr. Never tried any hand loads. As far as the threaded barrel, I had a gunsmith do it. Cost $150ish and took him two weeks to do (simply because the guy was busy), but it looked and shot so much better after. The brake itself was $100, but it was a great investment for a semi auto .308. Only purpose to have a semi auto .308 over a bolt gun is speed and you can't follow up your shots well with the recoil without the brake.

I would not worry about spending twice the rifle's cost for a good scope. I know the guys on Savage Rifles Professional Rifle Team do that all of the time.It helped them sweep almost all of the trophies and ribbons in Great Britan's F class matches last year and embarassed the heck out of a lot of Euro snobs firing $10,ooo hand made one off guns. I would worry about firing a mag or so of ammo and leaving the mag in the receiver. A hot receiver can cook a round off. That is a big NO NO.

@pvtdinky Agreed. For safety purposes, should have dropped the mag. It was empty though. Of course, as soon as you go assuming things with guns, or practicing potentially unsafe procedures, someone gets hurt. Also agree that spending money on a good scope is worth the investment.
