What great memories of this trip - the islands were totally immune to all the unrest in Greece so no worries. The food was unbelievable - Crete has the best Greek salads anywhere! The staff's Greek hospitality was second to none from partying to excursions - for sure do the Samaria gorge hike, the beach feast, the biking, the sailing, the mud bath...and Santorini, words cannot describe it - the view from the porch outside the cave homes is the stuff that picture perfect post cards are made of.

@missmerrie1 perhaps because the island of Crete is a Greek island, in fact it is the largest and most populous of the Greek islands and the fifth largest island in the Mediterranean sea.
