I am long overdue for a jazz guitar cover. Practiced this piece a lot for two days now. A wonderful tune. I wasn't sure to interpret this piece as the gilberto-getz version i know, or a more up-rhythm bossa cover. The result is a combination of both. This would sound so much better on a nylon-string guitar. There's some sloppy moments. Sorry for that.

My version is an interpretation. I wanted to try something new. I would refer to play it slower and more like Astrud Gilberto vocals.

Arranged by Mike Christiansen
Music by Antonio Carlos Jobim

  • This sounds fantastic, I think you've really captured those gilberto-getz vibes, that's the version I also know. Check out my video, it's way less sophisticated than yours, but it's my own arrangement . . . cheers

  • really good voice leading but you lost sense of the beat a bit
