Messor barbarus +300 workers moving into new nest

This movie is my Messor barbarus ant colony with +300 workers moving into their new nest.

The movie is played at 300fps, normale playback is 30fps so 10 times faster. The second day the ants moved into their new nest they already began digging underneath the ytong into the plaster. I instantly broke down the whole nest and moved them into two empty dark test tubes and one test tube with a water reservoir.

This ant specie doesn't require a humid nest, they can make it themselves by drinking the water and going back into the nest.
