If Today Was Your Last Day: A Jick Love Story ch.6

I woke up the next morning with Nick in my arms. I felt like the luckiest guy on earth, to have Nick as my boyfriend. Never in a million years would I even have thought Nick would end up my boyfriend. But now I am so glad he is. I really didn't want to go to school. Hopefully Nick will agree to staying home because I just want to be with him all day. I leaned down alittle and kissed Nick on his forehead and he slowly opened his eyes and smiled up at me. "Goodmorning babe" I said. God I loved being able to call him that. He smiled then looked over at the clock. "Joe, we gotta get ready" he said as he sat up. "Can't we just stay home today Nicky?" I asked with a puppydog face. He was always a sucker for my puppydog faces. "Fine. I guess 1 day wouldn't hurt" he smirked. I slammed my head down, trying to hit my pilow, but hit the headboard instead. "I guess it will hurt" I laughed as I grabbed the back of my head. Then I saw I scared look on Nicks face. "What's wrong, Nick?" I asked and took my hand off my head. "Oh my god" I said as I looked at my hand and saw it covered in blood. "I-im gonna call 911" Nick said as he ran to the phone. "No Nick. Its just a little blood" I said, trying to get him to calm down. Because it was a lot more than a little blood. It was all over the bed near my pillow, I felt blood drip down my bare back. It was horrible. I was a little nervous I might loose to much blood so I pressed my head onto my pillow as hard as I could. "Nick.." I said. He was crying. He looked so scared. "I'm gonna be fine" I said, and hoped. "Nick just uh...get me 1 of those be bandages(sp..?) and some ice" I said. "O-ok" he said as he ran downstairs to the firstaid kit and the freeze. He came back in about a minute and told me to turn around. I did what I was asked and the he opened up the bandage and gently put it on the back of my head, trying not to hurt me. Then he grabbed the icepack and help it over the bandage with 1 hand and rubbed my back with the other. His hands were so cold. I could tell he was shaking. "Nick. Please don't worry about me. I'm gonna be fine" I said softly. "Sorry Joe. I'm just scared that I'm gonna loose you. Even if its not today. If today was your last day...I don't know what I'd do Joe" he said with tears in his eyes. "Baby please don't cry. I'm not gonna leave you. Even if I'm on the virge of dying, I will fight for you. You're my life and I will do anything to give you want you want and make you happy. I live for you now" I said as I wipped the tears from his face. He took the icepack and set it on the stand next to the bed. "Joe..." he said. I hugged him tight and rubbed his back. "I love you so much Nick. Without you, I'm nothing". I looked into his watery eyes and then kissed him softly.
