The sex pistols at this time were a bunch of young lads trying to be badass punks which they were in reality not, Rotten says 'shit' and then looks embarresed and apologises. It is only Grundys goading that gets them to say 'Bastard' and 'You dirty old fucker'. These boys were pretending to be mean muthers but were pussycats, apart from Vicious who didnt even know where he was.

@Meadoway40 They weren't trying to be anything mate, they got baited by a drunken old fool. We may live in an age of fakes in 2011 but in 1976 they invited the Pistols on the programme to make fools of this new punk cult and instead of getting managable fake caricatures got people being themselves and in Steve Jones, their worst nightmare. No they weren't pretending because they behaved in that studio as they did outside. Badass punks? Leave that to middle class Yanks in 2011.
