Investors in the housing industry are being advised to take caution when looking to buy properties to rent out, and pay special attention to the return they are likely to get at current rent levels. According to a new study by real estate agency, Hass Consult, the only real growth area in the housing market is new home ownership, as middle class households switch from renting, to taking up mortgages for their own homes.
What is happening is the supply curve moved to the right (renters turned to be investors in housing) thus stagnating the demand for rentals. There is almost an infinitely n ample land in Kitengela, Isinya, Ruai, Naivasha, Thika while land use change in Kiambu flourish....the economy grew by one digit almost collapsed during the '08 clashes. The bubble had to bust. Markets have a life of their own!
