Apex with 'Witch-Way' handle

The 'swivel-handle' Apex - US Pat No 2,099,172. Sold in the UK as the Vactric Airflo, this cleaner was the predecessor to all modern steerable uprights. The tagline went:

'The exclusive Airflo 'Witch-Way' handle. You stand in one spot, and with a "twist of the wrist", steer the cleaner in almost any direction. Saves miles of steps!'

This cleaner belongs to my good friend Chad, who went to great trouble to ensure I had access to film it during my recent visit to Chicago.
