  • On the 5th of December, 1965, Douglas Webster was lost overboard in his A-4 Skyhawk and nuclear bomb, in 16000 feet of water. I wonder what people felt during the show.

  • Respect for a retired Navy friend of mine who proudly showed me her autograph he'd gotten in Vietnam. Good people.

  • This was one fine lady. I remember the make shift stage made of a small platform raised on 55 gallon drums and jury rigged lighting on deck. She came to do her part, entertain the troops with no fanfare. Compare this to the Bob Hope show that was made for his personal gain. Bless this lady for what she did, and thanks for the memories. She is a good one.

  • Thanks for the fond memories.

I am putting out an "all-call" for ANY pictures, JPEGs, video cuts, ANYTHING from Cubi Point during the years 1967-1970. I am also very interested in obtaining the same but only with current or the most recent JPEGs, pictures or video of Cubi Point as it looks today or during the recent pastl

I hope either you or someone who sees this request could help me out. I miss our old home.

    Many thanks!!! God speed!

  • Thanks for posting this rare footage of Col. Maggie in action. Few people realize how much time she spent in country entertaining and bringing a touch of home to her beloved service men and women.

  • Gene McCallister.

Gene. Do you have any footage of the talent shows that we put on in the forward hangar? I was on three cruises and my friend and i would play guitars and goof around as part of our horrible routine. 62 through 65. John Radakovitz VA-52. By the way thanks for all your hard work. The footage is great. It seems like yesterday.
