@Squadomatick RCT5 is Regional Combat Team 5 (5th Marines). The arty battery I was in was used as a provisional rifle company in Iraq and we were the assigned as the "react force" until we turned over those duties to the Army. 5th Marines is a straightup infantry regiment and you have to earn their respect going in as a non 03 MOS. 2 words to keep in mind at boot are "speed and intensity". Ft Sill, where fun goes to die. About the only fun besides the mall was the coffee house/ poolhall. I ran into my instructor in Fallujah, neither of us was doing any 08 work, we were both attached to RCT 5.
