  • you could be right but picking strawberries is just about the hardest job there is...bending over all day...someone middle aged can't really do it...so far it's just the Mexicanos doing the picking but that could change...the other problem is it costs so much to live in California that picking fruit and vegs is a tough way to go....thanks for the comment....

  • The water deal is a big problem in California but with the migration of people leaving the state, it should get better. I think when it comes down to it, like in the great depression, the farmers and ranchers will find people more than willing to make some money picking or doing labor jobs, for the day or season.

  • thanks for the comments...altho the water issue is not as bad here, it keeps going up. Also, the availability of farm labor is tough. The ag community should do OK but not great for the next few years...and as you may be aware, California is in a real mess...and lots of nice groves here...

  • Watsonville is so close to the coast and feeds off the coastal cilicone valley and Santa Cruz, so it's no wonder the housing market took a hit. But once the interlopers move on, the ag communities will still thrive. Looks like a nice grove right were you were standing.

  • thanx for the kind words...the videos are fun and I just take the camera wherever I go...and since I've spent the last 25 years developing businesses I obviously take a business perspective...which is very interesting now especially in California...

  • looking forward to seeing more videos, we are building a network of people making videos like yours, lets keep in touch
