"Art as expression, not as market campaigns." The paradox of Permanent Waves is that it's one of my favorite albums despite the fact that none of the songs would be on my short list of favorites. I just think it's a great sounding album. This tour was also my first time seeing the band in concert at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, NY. We had to wax my friend's father's car in order to get him to drive us to the show. Covering this song is really a test of endurance; it's one of the tougher ones - for me anyway.

  • Very good. HOW do you stretch your index and 2nd fingers like that?? I was trying to figure out the position you were playing in, and that threw me! I have to do that little hammer lick with 1 and 3. Great tone, by the way. I just ordered a 4003 mapleglo this week. I hope I can make it sound like you do!

  • @4eyed4stringer

Thanks. I played for many years without using my pinky at all so got adept as some awkward stretches. Congratulations on your Ric.

  • i remember this from 1980 very well, tough or not you nailed it.

  • @barnabas50

    Thanks.

  • I've never tried to play this, but it looks like a hell of a challenge! Nice work as always.

  • @vineyardedge

  • Oh....nice wall, too! Nothing to see here! :)

  • @lapirata77

    Cool.

  • Jacob's Ladder is on my short short list. Top 5 somewhere but I don't wanna have to think too hard about it.

  • @tepes22b

It's much easier now that I've worked my pinky into the operation. I used to play it with just the 3 fingers on my left hand - talk about cramping.
