Peter Jackson said, "We ran out of time (money maybe) to complete this scene before the premiere date."
-
I think the reason that this scene (although it is great) was not used in the theatrical release is because of the unbelievable size of the fish (Piranhadon) considering the small size of the habitat, and how shallow the water was.
Face it, they would have been criticized.

At the end..when that guy said " Did you get that, did ya?" ...He had a point :(
-
OMG! WHY DIDNT THEY USE THIS AWESOME SCENE IN KING KONG???...or did they?
-
@kungfumaster51 Feel free to dive in after it and bring back its head.

Why did they deleted this (High Budget ?!) and Cool (Mosasaur lookalike creature) from the movie, it's just :S Weird !

...There more like giant water earwigs with mandibles on steroids...
...either way ... I Hate Bugs...Mini Flame throwers would have been nice...LOL...
...Or maybe a Mini Gun like on Predater with Arnold...The Bigger the Guns the better...Ha,ha...
I say the scorpions were using a hunting strategy where they attack a prey source (The rafts) and lure the pirahnadon in to finish whatever they start hunting off so they can get free food. who agree's.
