I know nothing about the artist, and there's currently little to be found, but it's a cover of this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AguBoy775Bo. I wanted one hypnotic image to mess with just slightly 'cause I thought it was right for this version. I searched stuff like "spinning.gif," etc. When I later checked the site this came from, it turns out it has to do with (ready?) String Theory, a/k/a some mathematical stuff I'll never understand, but how cool is that?
(Music and lyrics: Phil Kaplan)
I've got the world's biggest ball of string
I've got the world's biggest ball of string
Made of good times and bad breaks and most everything
I see the children playing and a river of time
Blood and sweat and a big ball
Something I could call mine

I've got the world's biggest ball of twine
I've got the world's biggest ball of twine
And I rolled it up into a load on my mind
I see bridges burning down
All the dreams of my fathers
They're just spinning 'round and 'round

I've got the world's biggest ball of string
I've got the world's biggest ball of string
There ain't nothin' in the world comes close to this thing
Can't get no bigger, they laughed
But the kids'll wanna try
We'll set up the proceeds
You just pass it on when I die
