  • i have the new kinect warrenty ran out a week ago and it has 1 red light i never use it. ..

  • listen THANK YOU SO MUCH! it worked :) 1 question though..my screen got all fuzzy while playing halo reach and then i tried to adjust my av cable. when i did that i got the red ring ofdeath again . i restarted it and its back to normal. is it going to ruin?

  • This didnt work for me at all. Mine is slightly different. That peice has a smaller part just behind the power switch. Idk if it matters but anyway. With my error. It pulls up the same E 74 and 1 light but overheats itself within seconds. Idk what else to do. Any ideas?

  • it worked for me thnx man

  • @Shubalup I actually do know what im talking about. Any chip (cpu, gpu) without a heatsink is just frying its self up. The best way to fix the ef4 is to just reflow the solders

  • @Kendalon What fix isn't temporary fix?

  • @ProPhetZxIZxDrUmZ Your fault. You suck.

  • @Combinednathan1 No actually, it isn't destroying the GPU or anything for that matter. If you don't know what you're doing then you shouldn't be even opening up your system. Do a little research before you bash this guy for knowing what he's talking about.

  • This worked out great and thank you so much! I would recommend to everyone that when they take out the screws that hold the GPU Heatsink down that they are careful not to lose the plastic washers that are underneath the screws. If you don't know what thermal grease is then honestly you probably shouldn't be doing this in the first place but that doesn't mean someone who knows what they're doing can't help you.

  • This is a really stupid thing to do. All your doing is destroying the gpu or whatever it is
