The Ahu (statue platform) at Tongariki, on the East corner of Easter Island, is one of the most impressive sites with its 15 Moai (statues) turning their shoulders to the rising Sun. Being there is a near spiritual experience fuelled by the many misteries that still surround this ancient civilazation.
