Slide show/video of skiing at the Remarkables near Queenstown, New Zealand, August 2007. Soundtrack: UNKLE - 'Restless' (feat. Josh Homme)
------
Wow, over 20,000 views for my little Kiwi ski video! Thanks to UNKLE for making a great song, then not making a decent video for it. And thanks to various computer games for putting that song on the soundtrack and make people go looking for videos.

Hurrah for tag edits - aspect ratio finally fixed!

  • Awesome video, I am going to Queenstown this september and are skiing the remarkables although i am a bit worried about how much snow is actually on the ground so late in the season, do you know if there will be enough to actually have a good time skiing, thanks

  • @asmit165 usually a fair amount still round in Sept but the warmer weather can make it a bit icy. Suggest you ask in the forums on snow.co.nz or somewhere similar.

  • really good video!! i'm 15 and going to nz for the first time with my school in 40 days! i am SO exicted:) thanks for this clip it's just brilliant(:

  • @asmit165 I dont know how much so there is now, but I have to say that when I went this August, there were rocks everywhere and I saw somebody smash their head into one when I was going up the Ski lift. So just keep away from the rocks and the tall ski lift. I saw alot of rocks going down the tallest ski lift, the one to the right of the beginner track if your entering the park. And do not ski down from the lookout area. So many freakin rocks I cannot believe it. But it was snowing there, so..

  • going to queenstown in a few weeks at the end of july, its the first time im going to be on non-australian snow, i am unbelievably excited!

  • Yeah man great vid there.

  • Excellent!

  • my firts year to coronet peak + remarkables

Most mountains do. im yet to go to one that doesent, they will probably charge tho ofcource.

  • I'm going this year. Do they have ski schools for beginers?
