Rep. Darell Issa and Rep. Zoe Lofgren speak at a press conference organized by Public Knowledge, Demand Progress, Computer and Communications Industry Association, Americans for Job Security, Don't Censor the Net and the CEA.
The press conference was held the day before the first hearing on the so-called "Stop Online Piracy Act" (HR 3261) (SOPA), which would do nothing of the sort while greatly disrupting the functionality, security, and vibrance of the internet.

Companies need to adapt to the new changing world. SOPA and PIPA are ineffective, really you have to work with the internet. It's just the way it goes, It can't be helped for copyright holders. Which, Is the best. The internet is a library of information. That's the way it will stay.

Alright kids, listen up. Darrell Issa and Zoe Lofgren are two of the primary opponents of SOPA in the House of Representatives. Issa has proposed an alternative to SOPA called the OPEN act, which despite not being perfect corrects many of the problems with SOPA being too broad. The speech in this video is being made IN OPPOSITION to SOPA, and should not be downvoted simply because the subject of the video is SOPA. These guys are on our side. Please like the video and spread the word.
