Midland Red later Midland Fox had Fleetlines and Metrobuses some ex south yorks they put a bar accross the exit door and did not use them don't know why but one day on the bus from oadby to city a guy was standing near the centre door thinking it would open

A lot of my childhood was spent riding on the Hull metropolitans so it's really good to hear this one....jogs a few memories!! They make a lovely noise - I'd forgotten about that little downward whistle as they pull away....:) Excellent video.
