Music and Movement

A movie by Julia Escriva de Carvalho and I.

The idea was to create a video that inspires contemplation on the communication between musician and audience - to observe reactions to music, essentially.

We invited a reggae musician (Stefaan Colman of JahGeneration) from the area to play in an empty room, then we added audience members, one by one. We slowed it down in order to allow one to focus specifically on the movements and not on the event itself.

There were a lot of problems in the editing process and we ended up rushing it. It didn't reach it's full potential. But it's still worth sharing.
