Too bad they couldn't have matched Mr. Peabody with Ms. Sherman.
Great clip, indeed!
-
And that near-laugh on "At ALL times..."...
-
Art James was able to keep about 65 percent of his composure and pretty much kept a straight face!
And he then quotes the lyrics of a song then on the hit parade.

Art James was a good game show emcee. I remember him announcing, and sometimes substitute-hosting (for Hugh Downs) NBC's original "Concentration," before Bob Clayton assumed those duties, probably in the year when Clayton was hosting "Make A Face" on ABC.
Truthfully, that is one of my earliest childhood memories of watching television, when I was about four years old. I was always enthralled by "Concentration," how those elevator-like doors would open, and out would walk Downs or James.

@MattTheSaiyan i agree id like to see a live comercial

Was the Price is Right gone by this time 1967?
-
TV would be a better place if they did more live commercials again. Also, if they stopped squeezing credits, and stopped adding 1 more minute of commercials every 8 years.
-
Switching to color in mid-1964.

@danbarker39 Yes
I wonder if a full episode of Say When!! exists. It was said to be clone of Cullen's "Price Is Right" in that two players picked prizes from a pool of merchandise and had to come closest without exceeding a target value.

@samacal - The pilot exists, but don't know about any episodes from the actual series.

MAN, "Game Show Moments Gone Bananas" definitely cut out most of the fun stuff. I'm glad to see that a longer version of this exists -- Art James comes off much better in the full version than the brief snippet in "GSMGB".
The contestants have "Peabody" and "Roy" in front of them, but I don't know if those are first names (like most game shows), last names (like the Cullen "TPiR"), or something related to the game.
Since this is the early 1960s, I'll say they're Mr. Peabody and M(r)s. Roy.

@WarioBarker88 - Yeah, too often the blooper shows cut out too much of the bits they show...as for your assumption, Peabody and Roy were indeed the contestants' surnames, which is what was customarily displayed on the SW podiums.
