We live 45 minutes east of Durham. During the lacroseee scandal a local white girl was kidnapped, raped, stabbed, and shot by two black guys. The story NEVER made it to the national news. WAKE UP PEOPLE

I think what turned things around was that taxi driver who said one of the accused was with him at the time of the alleged crime (@4:08). Originally, I was dumb enough to believe the lax players did it, but the facts started to come out. Eventually, they were cleared of it, and mostly everyone who thought they did it, including me, ate a lot of crow. 5 years later, they are now outstanding and stronger citizens, and that whore Mangum is deservedly getting hers.

@cactuschris2002 I'm not sure if it made the channel 5 or 11 news either. I know it didn't make the 680 AM, nor News 14 newscasts. I live about 35 miles southeast of Durham, and definitely the eastern part of that city is crime riddened. Something else that didn't get any news play anywhere locally and nationally, a producer of a local talk show, I believe her name is Chrissy Paradis (WRDU-FM), nearly got killed while driving on the Durham Freeway one early morning; her car got shot by gangs.
