FOR MY INDUSTRY FRIENDS

Everything was shot with one Canon 5D, one Canon 7D and one Canon 550Ds using the following lenses:

Zeiss 50mm f1.4 (at the front of wedding service)
Sigma 50-150mm f2.8 (at the back)
Canon 24-70mm f2.8 (at the back)

Audio recorded with a Zoom H4n with wireless mics. So encoded using H264 (obviously) and converted to Pro Res LT 4:2:2.Synced in post using plural eyes and edited in FCP.

It was a 2 man shoot - shot with the sadly departed, legendary lighting -cameraman, Richard Steel.

Hope that's of some use. Please, enjoy.

  • It was pretty sunny! It being a 14th century church it really had to be to look particularly good. I'm actually selling the sigma. Its good value for £250 and was a good starter lens but the 17-55mm f/2.8 is the one you really want I think if using a cropped sensor (or perhaps the 24-70) but I prefer being wider for the benefit of tight spaces (I always have a 70-200 when I need it).

  • Gorgeous video. Mind sharing what the lighting was like inside the cathedral? Also, how do you like that Sigma lens?
