Imperfect home made Mochi Icecream

This is my way of making Mochi Icecream. Mochi Icecream is a Japanese dessert and its pretty popular in my opinion.


1 cup glutinous rice flour
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup sugar (use 1/2 cup if you want it to be sweeter)
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 bag of potato starch
food coloring is optional

Hi, that looks awesomely delicious! I was wondering if I can use all-purpose flour for the dusty surface instead of corn or potato starch. I don't have any starch at the moment. :(

@luvasndfrends Great ;D and I read somewhere to mix the glutinous flour with wheat flour (so they'll be more soft over night or something idk hah) but i'll experiment that some time later when i have time lol

Yea I really want to try to make mochi. I was in a frozen yogurt shop and I tried mochi and instantly fell in love! All I need to do is find an asian market :D do Filipino stores work?
