These are tragic only because she died just days after these shots were done. She still had a yearning, wandering beautiful spirit wanting to be loved, and to be "wonderful" - and she was - for all time.

thanks for posting i think marilyn monroe and marlene dietrich are the 2 most beautiful woman ever in hollywood! both gorgeous and smart and both had huge hearts! thanks for keeping marliyn memory alive:) u def do marilyn proud:)

Hi, I love these pictures of Marilyn in 1962, I have the whole entire book last sitting, and when this photoshoot was made she listened to the music of Frank Sinatra. This one wil be one of my favorits !
