Yep! I used to watch this on WPHL 17 (Philadelphia) in the mid 70's on their afternoon cartoon show, with which they also showed Japanese live action bonanza's that included Ultraman, Johny Sokko, and Space Giants.

I also had the honor of meeting voice queen Corinne Orr at Chiller Theatre, where she did a number of voices for me, including Rom, Marine Boy, and Trixie from Speed Racer. What a treat, man! :-)

@kenjn60 Thanks all these years I never knew the real words LOL ,,I am a 1960's S. Jersey Kid and believe we grew up at the best time with the best KIds cartoon shows From Wee Willie, Gene London, Sally Star , Pixanne, Channel 29 and 48...Life was so cool and easy.then ..I miss it...

sou goianiense e tenho 40 anos, sou um dos poucos que se lembram desse maravilhoso desenho. Já indaguei à milhares de pessoas na mesma faixa etária e ele não se lembram do johnny cypher. Acho que isso de deve ao fato de gostar muito de desenhos, desde cedo já era aficcionado, outro que amo também é speed racer.

I KNOW! Mr. Fernadez was one of the nicest people I ever met.

It's hard to believe that slowly but surely, the men and women who did the voices of some of our most beloved childhood heroes are now among the stars with those heroes, soaring alongside of them as they fight evil in another dimension we ourselves will join them in one day.

R.I.P. Mr. Fernandez, and long live childhood! :-)

@Shawnster65 Its still hard to accept that Peter Fernandez (Dr.Mariner,Piper,Speed Racer,Racer X) passed away this time last year.Corrinne is the last of the Marine Boy/Speed Racer voice actors. In the Johnny Cypher series,Peter was heard as one of his arch nemesis',Nero Tyrannor.

Except I was a viewer since the 1960's.Watched the aforementioned plus Astro Boy,Eighth Man,Prince Planet.That's when afternoon cartoon shows were worth coming home from school for back then. BTW,I too met Corrine Orr at Anime East '94 and again at Anime East '95. If you've purchased the ULTRAMAN dvd set,I was mentioned briefly by Corrinne on the "special features" site. Wish she would make a return appearance to CHILLER.
