Sitting one afternoon in my authentic Wilson Adirondack chair, listening to the cicadas, (and occasional airplane) and enjoying some of the pre-evening warmth with my Hang.

Trying to get a little more control over my erratic style..... ;)

  • found you through kutiman. this is awesome w/kutiman but also as a standalone. i could listen to this solo all day

  • Too kind my friend. Kutiman is awesome. Honestly, my 5 seconds of fame, you don't really even hear my Hang. But I am honored that he chose to put my clip in one of his vids. Way cool! Thanks again! and Keep on Hangin!

  • How many octaves can you get out of one of those? Does it play every note?

  • You have to have at least 3 to get a full chromatic scale. There are only 8-9 notes per instrument. Not enough to get the full 12 key chromatic scale. However, I do have a low D and a high D, a low A and a high A. So I do have an octave range of sorts.

  • nice danny... no hangout? nice grooves :)

  • I really wish I could make it. Responsibilities and finances just make it impossible this year. I expect to see and hear lots of video though! Someday we'll all get together and have a huge Hanghang free-for-all jam! I can't wait. :)

  • Found this from Kutiman's Thru-You. Never seen or heard a instrument like this before. Sound realy nice.

You even got a nice basstone in the background from that passing airplane in the end :)

    thanx CIFERENCE-SYMPHONY

  • Where can I buy one of these?!

  • Awesome. I love how it sounds while the airplanes are passing by. (or is that an insect?) Just have one question... In order to get the chromatic scale, don't you just need to buy 2 hangs (one semitone apart), for example if you got a C major so CDEFGABC - and then C# major, so C#D#E#F#G#A#B#C#. I'm not even sure if they make sharp tunings...but if anyone knows please let me know. Thanks.

  • what scale is that hang it is very nice I play Bamboo flute and want to play a cover over it for myself to enjoy listening to it wow it is awsome bro. very well done

  • Your playing is fantastic. I love the key/mode of you drum.

  • Sounds like everybody wants one of these hang drums. That now includes me. What a wonderfully low timbre on yours. What is the tuning. I know they are tunes in a pentatonic scale but what major or minor scale is it based on? My wife is a modern percussionist but has been leaning toward more of the traditional and ancient instruments and this one would be a great birthday gift for her.

If you can, please contact me through YouTube with any retail information you would like to give out. Steve
