No apologies for showing this as a moment when I and millions of others felt so proud to be British. Buckingham Palace and Green Park come alive with music, pictures and fireworks to celebrate 50 years of Elizabeth II's reign. I must admit my favourite moment comes after about 3:30 of this clip when you hear the climax of Benjamin Britten's piece 'Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra' (itself based on a theme by Purcell)- guaranteed to get the hairs on the back of your neck on end

It's the climax from "The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra" by Benjamin Britten. The theme is based on a piece by Purcell.

Well I must confess it was videoed straight from the broadcast, and yes the music was part of the original display. Glad you enjoyed it though!
