I wasn't really sure what to expect from this (It's been 24 years since its making), but wow! Didn't know Dawkins was a programmer or that these sorts of arguments against creationism (the eye model) existed back in the 80's. No wonder Dawkins comes across as a bit strident now - he's been making these points for decades. Thanks for sharing!

Dawkins sure was on fire in them hot pants (Satan's clearly jelly!). Even in 240p, his thighs still remain handsome and worthy of envy.

@45iceopen Sense there´s about as many atheists in Sweden (in %) as there are theists in the USA, I´m sure there´s far less creationists here. In 2006, I´m afraid that a poll showed that 14% of swedes see ID as a science, and most of these are active in free churches such as "Livets Ord" (the word of life). 1 small party out of 8 in the government have members supporting ID, one being declared "most misleading of 2005" XD
Hopefully we´ll be first in the world with a fully secular population.

@LoverofLiszt That is a good point. Is Sweden as-bad/better/worse than US in terms of percentage of non-creationists?

@45iceopen Have you thought that it may be that non creationist people from other countries go to those videos too? I for one is from Sweden.

The God did it argument, is far older than that of William Paley. John Locke used this argument as well as Thomas Equinas. I would expect it goes far beyond those.
Where can I get the computer program he uses to show cumulative evolution with various shapes and genes? He selects the one looking like a scorpion...

@thebroodhn
I'm not sure where you can get his original program, but there is something similar in the description bar called "Endless Forms". It uses the same random mutations but all of the technical stuff is done automatically. All you need to do is pick a shape and evolve it.
