Hey ive been jumping around watching other Straight pipe attempts and none of them sound as good as this one. What exactly did you do? Btw i have a 1995 Inline six with the duel mainifold. Im not sure what you did differ but it sounds way better then all the other exhaust system i heard on here.

@vampirekurt I literally cut the muffler out and ran a pipe right out in front of the tire. This motor was in great shape. Tons of new parts and an intake. I just ran a 14" Pro-Flo when I was driving on the street, but in thic pic I don't think it has an intake. The stock air-cleaner housing soaks up a bunch of throaty noise from the intake. I'd strongly recommend that anyone who wants a throaty I6 to add an intake. This truck also ran a bit rich which probably helped it sound the way it did.

hey how did you fit a radio into the dash? im curently trying to find a face plate for it
Mr420fighter 6 months ago
@Mr420fighter The stock dash is a standard single din opening. Any old radio should fit right in.

dude love the sound. I have a 91 with a 300, and I was just wondering the set up you have. is it straight off the manifold? or did you leave any cat in there?

@thefordstraightsix Thanks! The truck has a different manifold than yours. You have the EFI version, whereas mine is the older "Electronic" carb version. Your truck should have dual manifolds while this one has a single "Log" manifold. The "Log" leads into a single cat which leads to a section of pipe before leaving right in front of the rear tire. This carb had a sticky choke which caused it to lope a bit whenever it ran rich. Your truck should sound just as good, maybe just a little smoother.
