Newest version of the game has seen very large improvements to the Magus, and most other classes. The Rank 10 armor sets are no longer availible, as they allowed players to be entirely too powerful in the tier 1 zones.

The Chosen
A very heavily armored soldier, the chosen is visually impressive and intimidating.

On the battlefield, the chosen stands up to its image, a moving rock through combat, it takes a lot to bring one down.

They are a tank class, capible of melee dps, although not as much damage as say the Maurader, or the Witch elf. Even unhealed however, the chosen can buy allies time to unload while taking a sizeable beating.

Chosen are capible of taking most enemies down in one-on-one combat, but finding such a battle can be hard in open field RvR, or Battleground RvR for that matter. When backed up with DPS and/or a healer however, the Chosen definatly takes its place in the frontlines, taking anything thrown at them.

Making themselves a target of convenience, chosen can absorb most incoming damage for the team. Although it seems a little iffy right now, player on player collision even allows the chosen to intercept enemy melee that are harassing their healers, by physically stepping in the way, and often slowing them with "Crushing Blow."

In PvE, the chosen definatly does its job, holding aggro and taking the punishment very well, allowing squishies to sit back and go to town.


Again, This is the first of several, time permitting I'd like to do this with most if not all of the classes, or all the destruction classes and tell you which order clases they line up with.

Decided to Fast Foreward through a lot of the travel time, sorry if you like watching running, but the video was nearly 6 minutes, with a lot of nothing happening. I left the music out of this one because of comments, and requests on the last video.

This is all shot in the first area in the Empire vs Chaos called "Nordland." it was all shot after I had gotten the Rank 10, Renown Rank 6 Armor and weapon set. Armor has been dyed yellow, just because it has.

@doodleman100 No, played in the closed and open beta, and post launch, but quit after a month or two being unable to see fixes coming to huge holes in gameplay that weren't being addressed. I still think about playing again sometimes, but I doubt it'll actually happen.

@roman11777 chosen can take a beating, but we eventually will die. in the maraduer is going crazy and the chosen is on the run then mara will win. but if chosen plays smart, i think chosen will win;

@Lucranco Honestly its been almost 2 years since I played WAR, and I didn't play a tank post-beta. I believe it was an ability all the tanks had, or a morale ability or something that channeled damage to the tank, or reduced damage taken in an area or something.
