Happy Mothers Day Mum, this song is for you
Roses are red, violets are blue,
Or are violets violet? I'm not sure, are you,
My mum is fantastic, here are a few clues,
She loves kittens dearly and cleans up their poos,
She texts hugs and kisses if I'm feeling the blues,
She runs, when my nose runs, to bring me tissues,
She asks every time, "you'll come for Christmas won't you?"
And she'll get all excited when I say "Of course I'll do"
Her soft caring nature can sometimes be a crutch,
You could almost accuse her of caring too much,
Soon when she see's me I will be speaking Dutch,
And the home of a rabbit is called a Hutch,
Now there's only one rhyme left I can use as such,
Her shopping obsession is clearly advancing,
She'll lose both her legs before she stops line dancing,
She's there when I need her and always so kind,
I can always tell her when something's on my mind,
She taught me to be open and always try to find,
The sparkle of goodness in the hopelessly blind,
She showed me the purpose of doing for others,
To treat the less fortunate as sisters and brothers,
The reasons for always doing good by another,
And Country artists all pose the same on their covers,
The only thing left to say is 'unlucky for some'
Because in this life raffle I got the best mum
