Probably April DeGideo- i quickly identified with having two crazy but cool parents, studying way too often, and her "Whatever happens just happens" disposition regarding the competition.

Thats even more impressive. I spell like a 7 yo but its ok. Tell me how you prepered for the competition. You have to dedicate your entire life to this dont you? Respect from Sweden!

It was one of the few things that really challenged academically, alongside AP geography. I took maybe a couple hours out of my day to study lists and stuff and then study for an evil thing called the round-one test that can bump you out of the competition. Because of that test- out of 293 kids participating, only 41 made it to the semi-finals!
