Glendale Jazz Festival (Glendale, Missouri)

The Glendale Jazz Festival takes place in the charming, sleepy suburb of Glendale (part of St. Louis County) Missouri. The first jazz festival was produced in 2000 by founder, Terry Thompson, a musician and bandleader and Glendale resident at the time. The festival offers a diverse variety of jazz artists and bands. The video opens with MC Don Wolff -introducing the festival and later interviewing Terry Thompson. The featured groups are Steve Lilley with the St. Louis Stompers , Terry Thompson with his Swing Alive Band with special guest artist Denise Thymes. The Jazz Festival runs from 6 - 10pm on the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend. This year is the 11th Annual Glendale Jazz Festival and will be held on Friday, May 28, 2010.
