The A330 display at Farnborough 1994. Includes a High-Alpha Pass into a 20kt headwind. If you didn't believe that an Airbus can hover, think again !

  • @NachoVPMusic it depends on the lift that the airplane generates due to coming headwind and the relative airspeed at which the airplane moves through the air...Antonov AN-2...that airplane can fly backwards with enough strong winds. It's not as big as an A330 but flying backwards? Wow...But answering your question..yes, any airplane can do that with enough headwind in Slow-flight configuration (almost max power and full flaps)

  • @motoing32 Errr, it was an airshow? Airbus pretty much pulls stunts like this at most airshows with different planes from the A320 to the A400M, it's carefully planned and not just a spur of the moment thing.

  • e_e Not sure if airplane or helicopter
