I wrote my first game using the Android/Mono bindings I've been writing. Simple Asteroids type game.

It's a port of the proof of concept OpenGL demo I wrote for Windows Mobile:

  • Performance is better. Mono is a faster runtime. Though you do pay a penalty doing a runtime invoke from mono to java or vice versa.

  • how is the performance compared to an native java app?

    And you would still need to install some mono apk to use applications written in mono, or do i miss something?
